Custom F-Keys

You have the option to customise almost all the F-Keys (Function Keys), of your keyboard (some are used by irc-U).

You can access the Custom F-Keys dialog from the Menubar popup, under the extras menu or using the command /fkeys.

When you open the Custom F-Keys dialog, choose an F-Key from the combo box that appears.

When you select one, another combo box is enabled, in order to choose to whom the command will be performed to and then, depending on the choise you make, you will see the attributes that you will have to set.

These options are:

Channel, with options for clear banlist and change channel modes.

Custom, where you have to type in the editbox a command name. This command can be an mIRC command or a custom one.

Slash (/) is not needed.

Identifiers will be evaluated and you may use comparisons.

ie. if ($me isop #) kb $nick bye bye

If you want more than one command to be performed, make a custom one with the commands you want, and just type the command's name.

User, where you have options to send message to the user, send notice to the user, send message to the channel and/or send a file, kick, ban or kickban.

You, where you have options to deop yourself, change nickname, set/unset  ignores, ping yourself or change usermodes.

Notes

1) Always click the Apply button to save the F-Key settings.

2) If you set an F-Key to change your nickname and you will not type a nickname, you will be asked for it, everytime you hit the F-Key.

F-keys used by irc-U

F1: Toggles on/off the global ignore, excluding channel text.

F10: Used by Channel Protection to send warnings.

F11: Used by Channel Protection to kick.

F12: Used by Channel Protection to kick/ban.

Shift+F1: View the nicknames that msg'd you, when Private Protection is set to keep a limit of opened queries.

Shift+F2: Open the file, in which nicknames that msg'd you are saved, when Private Protection is set to keep a limit of opened queries.

Shift+F10: When a ban is placed and you have ops, gives you the option to remove the ban.

Shift+F11: Unignore a user, who is ignored by User Protection.

Shift+F12: Ping yourself (you can change this).
