Channel Flood Protection: Modes, Events & Options

       Limit Control

Basic factor is the non-existence of lag. If you realize such thing, you have to turn the script off, immediately and talk to another online op, so he/she will takeover.

It goes without saying of course, that only one should use the timer to change the limit.

Users +: Users are the ones who are in the channel in the given time. In the editbox you set the allowed limit of users, who can exist in the channel (the limit that will be set in the channel, is the sum of the number of users and the number you have set here). Default value is 10.

Every: The time period after which the limit will be set in the channel (using a timer). There is option as to if, the number you have set, will be in minutes or seconds.

Check on join: Option to check the difference, between the channel's users and the existing channel limit. If the difference is less than the limit you have set, then you change the channel limit, that was set above (Users +). Default value is 5.

NOTE: This option is given in order to have better and sufficient control, which will be done from more than one operator. Further, it is not recommended for the same operator to use the timer and the same time to make the "on join" check (lllaaaggg).

       Socks

Works on join and checks the hosts of the users who join the channel(s) you have set, to see whether they match or not with someone of the existed (and loaded) socks list.

It only bans with address type 2 (*!*@host.domain) and on the second join, of an existed host in the list, sets the channel to the chosen modes (+rmi, registered only-moderated-invite only). The removal of these modes, should be made manually.

The socks list is created with the filter option in the Xban tab.

Enable: Enables the on join check for the selected channel.

Channel +mir: The modes in which the channel will be set on the second join of an IP/host that exists in your socks list.

Load List: Loads the socks list.

Unload List: Unloads the socks list.

Load List on Startup: Loads the socks list when you start irc-U.

Ignore hosts (prv): The amount of time that IPs/hosts will be ignored if/when you are under private attack, and for the given events. Time is in minutes and is different for CTCPs, Messages/Actions and Notices.

       Voice

Enable: Enables the timer to give voice to all non-voiced/non-opped (regular) users in a channel.

Every: The time interval in seconds, after which the /voice command will be executed.

Give Voice: Gives voice to all non-voiced/non-opped (regular) users in the active channel.

Take Voice: Takes voice from all voiced users in the active channel.

       Options

Ban time for Xbans: The ban time that will be used for bans via X, in hours.

Level: The level that will be used for bans via X.
